Organizing All Things Coffee

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

Welcome back for our September blog post where we're going to discuss organizing all things coffee! With national coffee month just ending in August, national coffee day coming up at the end of this month and the fact that most of us can't go a day without at least one cup of coffee, we thought it'd be a great idea to share all of our organizing tips and tricks for your next coffee break.

Mug Organizing

The first area we want to focus on when it comes to organizing all things coffee is organizing your coffee mugs. It's easy to not know where to start when you have a vast collection of coffee mugs like most families do, but we're here to help!

Downsizing

The most difficult part is downsizing your mug collection. We recommend only keeping 1-2 coffee mugs per person and 1-2 travel mugs per person. A great way to get through this downsizing process is to ask these questions:

  1. Do you like it?

  2. Do you use it?

  3. Too small or too big?

  4. Does it fit in your cup holders? (Travel mugs)

  5. Is it easy to clean?

  6. Is it damaged?

Helpful Mug Organizing Products

The number one way we like to organize coffee mugs is to hang them. This not only frees up cabinet and counter space but it is also aesthetically pleasing as well!

Another Great Mug Tip

This one is for those disposable cup and travel mug people. We recommend separating lids into different containers based on the cups they fit. For example, if all your cold cups have the same cover and all the hot cups have the same ones that all fit each other, keep them organized in 2 separate piles. This also makes using the cup easier and faster.

**If you have a low number of mugs/cups, you can ideally keep the lids with the cups so that you don't have to search for them.**

Coffee and Coffee Accessories

Okay, so we've talked about organizing all of the different coffee cups and mugs but what about all the fun little extras? Like k-cups, sugar, stirs, etc.? Well, we have a solution for that as well!

Organizing the Little Things
We recommend using small containers to keep all the coffee supplies separate. This would be all of the little extras such as sugar, creamer, spoons, measuring, syrups, etc.

We hope this post helped give you some ideas on how to organize all things coffee in your house. Our best pro-tip is to keep coffee, coffee supplies, and mugs all near each other in the same "zone" in your kitchen. Whether you have a dedicated coffee bar area or just a section on your counter, we hope we've helped getting your coffee fix a little more organized.
